My Kiddos

My kids make me so incredibly happy and I feel truly blessed to be their Mommy! Nathan and Reese are getting bigger by the day; way too fast! Life is absolutely wonderful with them running around. Brandon and I couldn't be happier! Here are some pictures of their adorableness lately!

Reese is so fun and happy! She is quite the girl!

Sweet Big Boy

Nathan is so dang cute! Seriously, look at that sweet face! I just love him so much! He has turned into quite the talker now. I am so relieved that he has caught up with other kids his age. He is still so innocent and wears his heart on his sleeve. I love it and I fear for the day when his little heart gets broken. We went to Chick-fil-a with another family last night and he went to their 7 year old boy when we got out of the car and asked with the sweetest voice and his hand in the air, "Do you want to hold Nay Nay's hand?" I held my breath with hope that Nathan wouldn't get embarrassed or hurt, but the sweet 7 year old boy held his hand and walked him inside. So cute! I am so thankful as a mommy for the kind gesture. It is so hard to watch your baby get hurt. The mama bear in me wants to keep him safe from all the ugly in world, but I know I can't do that.

The latest big news is that Nathan has started preschool. He goes twice a week and he really likes it. I love asking him what he learned that day and having him tell me. I can't believe how big he has gotten. I love watching him learn and grow. I'm so proud of my little boy!

Nathan loves to go swimming. We usually go at least twice a week, so he has quite the tan. We are happy that the warm weather has latest into October.

Hi my name is Reese

I am 14 months old now and am a very busy girl. I'm always on the go. I can't possibly sit for more than 5 seconds at a time. My mommy always wants me to sit and read books with her, but I just have more important things to do like climb on the fire place, push my baby around, and scavenge the pantry. I absolutely love my big brother, Nathan! He is my best friend; when he isn't trying to take toys away from me. I want to do exactly what he does even if it is probably too hard for me, i.e. try to ride a scooter, bike, climb wood railing on the stairs. I am always happy and have the cheerfullest personality. I love to wave and give high fives to everyone I see. I am definitely not shy like my big brother! I am working on talking. I say hi, bye, mama, dada, what's that, and uh oh. I am a natural fish in the water. My mommy makes me wear floaties anytime I am remotely close to a pool because I like to just walk in. I love swimming without the help of my mommy with just my floaties or a ring (Of course mommy is always a foot away to make sure I am safe). If you can't tell, I am very independent. I love my baby doll and I have just discovered real life babies and I love them oh so much! My mommy has so much fun dressing me up and I never go anywhere without a big flower or bow. I still have a hard time growing hair on my head, so for now, headbands with a flower will have to do. Mommy tells me that I am her sunshine. She pretty much adores me. It's hard not to, I am just so adorable!

Birthday Bash

We were able to celebrate both Nathan's 3rd birthday and Reese's 1st Birthday last month. Having children born on the same day is quite nice right now, however, I have a feeling it won't always be as easy. We had a Buzz Lightyear and Pretty Flower BBQ. We had such a great turn out! Thank you to all of our family and friends who made it!

Here is there super adorable invitation Brandon made

The bounce house/slide was the best thing we could have done. It kept the many kids occupied the whole time!

Nathan enjoying his cupcake

Reese was quite dainty when it came to diving into her very own cake

Daddy helping Nathan with the Buzz Pinata

All the kids patiently waiting for their turn to whack it

It was a good little pinata. It lasted through the entire line of kids and with the help of Brandon it finally broke!

Reese with all he gifts

And Nathan with all of his

It has been so fun with these two little munchkins! I absolutely love being their mother and am so thankful for their sweet personalities. Happy Birthday to my babies!!

Updates on my Babies

Reese

Reese is 9 1/2 months old and is busy, busy, busy. She is into everything. I fear when she is a toddler. She can never sit still. I try so hard to be a good mother by having reading time with her, but she is just too crazy. She try's to eat the book or flip over or climb up me. One day we will finish a book...lol. At her 9 month check up she was 20 lbs and no longer in the 90th percentile. I think she is starting to stretch out a little more as she doesn't seem so chunky. Reese still has very little hair, but we have plenty of bows and flowers for our sweet little baldy! She is such a smiley girl and we absolutely adore her. She is a quick learner, to say the least. When she first crawled it took her one day to become a professional crawler, then the next day she was pulling herself up. A few days ago she began walking while pushing her walker and various things around the house. She is now pro. On Saturday, she has even started standing by herself. Even though she is still very young, I'm to the point where I want her to walk already. She try's so hard to keep up with her big brother that it would just make life easier for everyone if she could walk. Reese absolutely adores Nathan. She thinks he is so hilarious. I love the big belly laughs he can get out of her. They are buds.

Nathan

Nathan is a few months shy of being 3. He talks so much more which has been a big relief for mommy. He loves the Toy Story movies and Buzz is his favorite character. We enjoy going to Disneyland and riding the Toy Story rides. He even got to meet Woody and Jesse this last time. He is starting to get into the super hero's. His favorites are Spiderman and Batman. He loves watching Incredibles, too. Nathan is still very shy and takes a while to warm up to people outside our family. He does love playing with "friends". When ever the doorbell rings at our house, he runs to the door yelling with excitement, "Friends! Friends!" It is very cute. This little boy could live outside if I would let him. He is always asking to go to the park and loves, loves when we go to the beach! Our backyard isn't finished so his time out back is limited. We are hoping to put a patio in before summertime, so that should help. Our latest adventure is potty training. We have definitely had some rough days, but he has actually been doing quite well. I am very proud of him. He loves his little sister and loves making her laugh. When Reese is crying in her bed he will often times go in her room and climb in her bed and play with her.

I absolutely adore my sweet children and am so grateful to be their mother. They are my whole world. I am living my dream!

Love these three!

And then there is this guy... I love him so much!

This Little Boy is Growing Up

I can't believe how big this boy is. Tonight as Brandon and I were putting him down, I pulled out his one piece jammies with the feet. I told Brandon that I like to put him in these because it makes him seem more like a baby. But, to our surprise, Nathan went ahead and said his bedtime prayers all by himself for the first time!!!! Which of course, canceled out the baby jammies. Normally we kneel with him next to his bed and either Brandon or I say the prayer and he repeats the words we say. But this time he just said it. We were both in shock. Nathan has taken his time with the whole talking thing and is now finally putting 3-4 word sentences together. So an entire prayer truly amazed us! For journaling purposes, this is what he said:

Father, thank you for Mommy, Daddy, Reese, Phoebe. Night Night. Jesus amen.

I am such a proud mama right now!
